I’m currently testing the Canon EOS R mirrorless camera. Since I’m home alone without human subjects, I decided to document a little of the reality that’s currently happening in my daughters’ bedrooms. Enjoy, commiserate, have a laugh… And if you’re so inclined, drop a comment on your thoughts on the quality of the images.
I’m taking a photography workshop on embracing my inner artist. This weekend’s assignment challenged me way beyond my comfort level: we were charged with leaving our homes, on foot, with one camera and one lens, and photographing only things within our immediate surroundings.
This morning, I woke up before everyone else. I arose at 6:37, to be exact. I made coffee and I watched the sun come up. I saw a family of deer pass through our yard, and I listened to the rumbling of the rock tumbler that I can hear churning away in the basement.

How’d we do it?
Barely. We barely did it. That’s how.
Most people plan Disney trips a year in advance. We booked ours three weeks out.
