I have always been a bit of a voyeur. Driving around at night when I was a child (and an adolescent, and a young adult, and an adult at the age I am now), I always loved looking into people's windows.

I loved watching people cook and eat, or dance, or sit and read, or even watch TV. I wondered about them doing the things that my family did in my own home. I loved seeing how other people lived.

Maybe that's why I'm doing what I'm doing now, because it affords me a glimpse into people's lives and, quite honestly, their hearts.

This family couldn't have been more accommodating. They made coffee for me. They offered me breakfast! They made sure I was comfortable and made sure I had access to pretty much everything that was happening in their home. It was absolutely wonderful.

My goal? To save a few everyday moments for them before their girls are no longer doing those sweet things that little girls do at this age.

I hope I managed to do that, even just a bit.
