Because life is short, and children manage to take up so much of it, I decided that after 8 years of marriage and 14 years together, it was time Eric and I had some photos made of ourselves.
Just me and him. No kids. No whining. No activity bags or bribery snacks. (Though we did get Au Bon Pain pastries for the trip home.)
We dropped the kids off at school and headed into New York City to meet up with Esteban Gil, of Esteban Gil Photography, to make some pictures to honor our love and our marriage and this crazy journey we’re negotiating together.
Life is short, people. Short and precious AF. Do what you want. Do what you need. Do what you love. Do it for you kids, sure, but more than that, do it for yourselves.
Here are the photos I took to document this very special adventure. And they’re also part of my monthly 10 on 10 project.
Every month in 2018, I am participating in a photography project with a group of extremely thoughtful and talented photographers. Each photographer makes a series of 10 photos in a single day, and each photographer shares their series on the 10th day of every month. The goal? To tell a story.
